Milling machines

For steel and cast iron

Powerful milling machines for the perfect result

The machining of components that are made of steel and cast iron requires enormous forces that must be controlled with micrometer precision. For this purpose, the Technology People rely on ball screws and highly rigid linear guides in the feed axes and on the use of HSK-A80 or HSK-A100 spindles.

Perfectly tamed
forces

Even the basic design ensures the optimum flow of forces with the patented monoblock and the box-in-box 3-axis unit. They ensure the highest precision and reliability. For heavy-duty machining of steel and cast iron, we use high-precision linear elements with increased service life for the feed movements. They convert the rotary motion of the servo motors into linear motion via ball screws and ball and roller rail guides. With central lubrication, you have the security of not missing any relubrication intervals and ensure maximum availability.

Micrometer precision
Precision

Glass scales and displacement measuring systems integrated into the linear guides record the positions of each axis and the tool center point to within a few micrometers. The fast SW CNC control processes this information in a closed control loop. By combining power and intelligence, you can drill large diameters into the workpiece with high precision or perform high allowances of a milling operation. The result is the most precise contours and perfect surface quality in 4- and 5-axis machining for components made of steel and cast iron.

Production to the power of two, three or four

Work spindles precisely matched to heavy-duty cutting convert the high feed rates into optimum cutting performance. This enables you to manufacture components for the chassis and brakes just as efficiently as components for combustion engines or mechanical engineering.

Due to the design rigidity of SW CNC machining centers, we utilize high-precision multi-spindle machining. This allows you to manufacture several components in parallel with two, three or four work spindles in one cycle with reproducible quality. This reduces cycle times and multiplies the output of your production.
