ROBERT BOSCH GMBH AWARDS SW AS “PREFERRED SUPPLIER

Schwäbische Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH from Waldmössingen receives the “Preferred Supplier” award as the only supplier in the “Machining / Metal Cutting” sector

Once again, the international system supplier of multi-spindle machining centers and manufacturing solutions received an award from Robert Bosch GmbH.

The “Preferred Supplier” award is given to only one supplier in the respective product category and is based on a survey of different plants within the Bosch Group in the “Global Business Services Purchasing” division. The assessment is carried out permanently on the basis of defined criteria. Particular attention is paid to the areas of technical competence, product quality, delivery reliability, entrepreneurial potential, price-performance ratio and customer orientation.

The preferred supplier award is given to companies with above-average performance

Andreas Schmid, Corporate Lead Buyer at Bosch GmbH, and Muhammet Aydinli, Senior Manager from Global Business Services Purchasing, presented the certificate. They explained that with the confirmation of the “Preferred Supplier Status” Bosch expresses its appreciation towards the special performance of the suppliers and at the same time wants to motivate them to maintain the level in case of increasing requirements. As a matter of principle, Bosch concentrates its suppliers on partners who it considers to have above-average competence and performance. The supplier companies are also development and innovation partners who contribute to the company’s competitiveness. Partners who excel in close cooperation can participate in the company’s strategies and development projects at an early stage and thus align themselves for the future. In addition to the “Preferred Supplier Status”, SW has also received the “Global Supplier Award” from Bosch in the past.
