Schwäbische Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH (SW) has reached a further milestone on the road to a sustainable and environmentally friendly future. A state-of-the-art photovoltaic system has been installed and commissioned on the roof of the “SW Magazine”. This will equip the company for future generations.
The photovoltaic system consists of a total of 5,662 modules. Each module has an output of 370 watts. It has an installed capacity of 2,094 megawatt peak (MWp) and a total area of 10,285 square metres. It is the largest rooftop PV system in the Rottweil district.
In cooperation with Peter Motzer GmbH, the project was realised. A long-standing partner of SW and a renowned company in the renewable energy sector. The PV system was successfully implemented thanks to their expertise and experience.
Schwäbische Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH (SW) is further demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and environmental protection with a new PV system on the roof of its “SW Magazine”. Stefan Weber, Managing Director Production & Technology at SW, emphasises: “Sustainability is not just a buzzword for us, but is actively and holistically practised – whether in new technologies or also in and on our company buildings”.
