This training course provides basic knowledge on functional testing, simple diagnostics, and the safe operation of SW machining centers as part of basic maintenance. Participants will learn about the machine’s design, perform basic operating and testing procedures, and independently resolve simple malfunctions. An introduction to support from the SW Service Hotline and the use of SW Online Services rounds out the training.
Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be able to
ensure the availability of their SW machine,
perform functional checks independently and resolve simple faults,
systematically diagnose the sources of malfunctions,
work efficiently with SW Service Support.
Maintenance personnel
Vocational training as an industrial mechanic, industrial electrician, mechatronics technician or comparable professional experience Basic knowledge of CNC machine tools

Reading and understanding hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics

- During the training, participants learn a standardized approach to functional checks and simple troubleshooting across all major machine assemblies. This includes hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, cooling and coolant systems, counterbalance, clamping units, motor spindle, position control, tool magazine, measuring systems, linear drives, and the CNC control.

Participants also benefit from knowledge exchange and gain confidence in handling SW machines in day-to-day use.
