Function, Maintenance & Adjustment of the Drill Breakage Control

Course Duration:

 1 Days

Max.

 6 Participants

Languages:

 Deutsch, Englisch, Türkisch, Französisch

In this practice-oriented training course, participants acquire in-depth knowledge of the function, troubleshooting, adjustment, and commissioning of the Drill Breakage Control (BRK) system on SW machining centers.
The focus is on hands-on work directly on the training machine, including mechanical alignment, sensor replacement, referencing, and control-side parameter adjustments.
The objective is to enable participants to independently restore full functionality after defects or component replacement, ensuring reliable BRK operation in production – resulting in increased machine availability and reduced downtime.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be able to

  • Understand the structure and functional principles of the BRK system,

  • Identify and diagnose faults and malfunctioning BRK behavior,

  • Replace mechanical and electrical components professionally,

  • Perform sensor adjustment and BRK learning procedures,

  • Carry out full commissioning steps using defined test routines, thereby significantly increasing machine availability and operational reliability.

Target groups
  • Maintenance technicians, service personnel, and setup operators with experi-ence on SW machines.

Requirements
  • Completed technical training as an industrial mechanic (with electrical qualifica-tion), industrial electrician, mechatronics technician, or comparable professional experience.

  • Basic knowledge of CNC machine tools and machine operation is beneficial.
