The new Sfix system integrates application and system knowledge from SW with advancements in AI to offer significant improvement in the field of low and mid-size batch machining factories. The system automatically constructs a fixture using a library of flexible mechanical work holding elements and adjusts the level of the workpiece for machining. Autonomous programming makes automation affordable, which previously was not the case for low batches production. This eliminates the need for large quantity of fixture and setup time, significantly reducing investment and operational costs.

Additionally, the Sfix system can be coupled with machines and system solutions from SW, thereby creating an optimum factory.

Sfix base unit Patented Invention

The adjustable fixture block is a variable location system. It clamps the stud and creates a solid hold of the base. The jaws are mounted on a guide system that moves in two directions. Since using a round anchor and jaws, the base also can rotate to any desired angle. The combination of these features makes it possible to clamp the Sfix base unit at any position and angle on the plate.

Sfix plate

The fixture plate works with a disappearing stud concept to position components anywhere: Studs are installed in a pattern. They can be screwed in to provide a flat surface to optimize space clearance and cleaning, or screwed out to serve as an anchor point for the Sfix Base.
