BF 15-21D
As part of the BF series, the BF15-21D is specially designed for the dynamic machining of die-cast and structural components. Unlike other SW machines, it is based on a new machine platform. To meet the specific market conditions, it features a hybrid design: the X and Z axes are equipped with a linear drive, while the Y axis uses a ball screw. To meet the high demands for productivity and cost efficiency, SW relies on proven multi-spindle technology. With two independent three-axis units and one spindle per working area, the BF 15-21D can replace two conventional single-spindle machines and thus achieve higher output with a smaller footprint. With automated component change, two spindles can be used in one working area to bridge the loading time, resulting in even higher productivity.
