How we act sustainably.
Our sustainable business conduct ensures that SW will continue to develop ecologically, socially and economically for generations to come. In this way, we are furthering a livable world for tomorrow.
Our commitment to sustainable development is demonstrated by various initiatives and measures, including the implementation of comprehensive sustainability management, the promotion of energy efficiency and renewable energies and the reduction of CO2 emissions. We also fulfill our social responsibility by promoting fair working conditions and equal opportunities. We also work closely with our suppliers to establish sustainable practices throughout the supply chain.
These efforts are also reflected in certification in accordance with international standards and participation in external initiatives such as the Science Based Targets initiative or CDP.

Our SW website is CO2-neutral
Every website generates CO2 through hosting in data centers and data traffic. This is also where we come in: We work with a provider that monitors and neutralizes the CO2 emissions of our website. We offset the CO2 equivalent of our website by supporting sustainable projects: Water supply and the purchase of energy-efficient cooking stoves in Africa or wind power projects in Turkey. We only participate in Gold Standard projects that meet the strict requirements of the UN accredited auditors. With every visit to our website, the contribution to various projects also increases.
