APPRENTICESHIP<\/strong> Are you interested in working with your hands?<\/strong> SW\u2019s got your back.<\/strong> With our mechatronics apprenticeship program<\/strong>, you get both classroom and on-the-job training while earning your associate degree \u2013 all debt free.<\/p>\n Each fall, we hire two motivated individuals who are interested in mechatronics into our apprenticeship program in New Hudson, MI.<\/strong><\/p>\n Think it could be for you? <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> Who is SW?<\/p>\n<\/div> SW is a supplier of single- and multi-spindle<\/strong> horizontal CNC machining centers<\/strong>, automation<\/strong>, and complete systems.<\/strong> We\u2019re a trusted single-source provider to companies in various industries,<\/strong> including automotive, EV, firearms, medical, construction, aerospace, and more.<\/p>\n<\/div> What is Mechatronics?<\/p>\n<\/div> The word Mechatronics itself is a combination of the words Mechanical and Electronic.<\/strong> At its core, it\u2019s the hands-on work<\/strong> that makes sure advanced machinery functions<\/strong> as designed \u2013 electronically, mechanically, and with computer control. As an apprentice at SW, you\u2019ll learn electronic circuitry, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems and robotics<\/strong> that will give you the knowledge to build, repair, and improve next-generation machinery and technology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div> How does the apprenticeship program at SW work?<\/p>\n<\/div> The apprenticeship at SW provides a mix of classroom and on-the-job training<\/strong> while you earn your associate degree in Mechatronics Technology. SW is a proud host of the MAT2<\/sup><\/strong>\u00a0Apprenticeships Program,<\/strong> which is based on a German model, and even sponsored by the German American Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n Throughout the three-year apprenticeship,<\/strong> you will rotate<\/strong> approximately every eight weeks between attending classes at Henry Ford College (HFC) and working at our facility in New Hudson, MI.<\/strong><\/p>\n During both school and work periods, you\u2019ll receive a stipend for food and gas<\/strong>. When you\u2019re not in classes, you\u2019ll have the opportunity to put your new skills into action in the real world while earning a regular paycheck<\/strong>. SW also has a dedicated Apprentice Trainer<\/strong> who will support<\/strong> you throughout your educational journey<\/strong>.<\/p>\n After completing<\/strong> the three-year program, you\u2019ll have an associate degree in Mechatronics Technology from Henry Ford College, completely paid for by SW<\/strong>. You pay us back by completing two years of employment at SW after the program. Of course, we hope you\u2019ll stay with us long-term!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> What about the Global Student Exchange Program?<\/p>\n<\/div> Expand both your technical and cultural knowledge<\/strong> with our global exchange program!<\/strong> During your 3-year apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to spend several weeks at our headquarters in Waldm\u00f6ssingen, Germany.<\/strong> You will rotate through various departments and participate in exciting activities with your American and German peers<\/strong>.
